7-Eleven (USA) Plans Shanghai Expansion
03 Mar 2010 - Convenience store chain 7-Eleven plans to open 50 new stores in Shanghai this year, and aims to expand to 165 stores in the city within three years and 300 stores within five years, United Daily News reports quoting Hsu Chung-Jen, general manager of 7-Eleven operator President Chain Store Corporation. The convenience store chain currently operates 18 stores in Shanghai, said the report.
Reports in late October 2009 said that 7-Eleven was operating nine stores in Shanghai after opening its first store in April and planned to expand to 15 stores by late 2009.
