According to a report by Alpen Capital, food retail sales in the GCC are likely to grow at an annual rate of 3.5 per cent between 2016 and 2021, led by the expanding consumer base and hunger for health foods. The increasing number of young adults and expatriates are driving the demand for innovative, trendy and international consumer products.
