Esquires Coffee (New Zealand) Enters Romanian Market

26 Jun 2018 - Esquires Coffee, an international coffee shop franchise from New Zealand, opened its first unit in Bucharest, in Veranda Mall.

This is the first of a planned network of 25 units the company plans to open in Romania in the next five years.

Cooks Global Foods, a company from New Zealand, owns the Esquires Coffee brand, which operates on 12 international markets. In Romania, the franchise will be developed by a local partner supported by the group’s management in Ireland, which is responsible for the business development in Europe.

The branded coffee shop chain in Romania recorded a 30% business growth in 2017. The main international players on this market include Starbucks, Gloria Jeans and McCafe.
