Auntie Anne's (US) Opens in Myanmar

05 Mar 2019 - Pretzel franchise Auntie Anne’s opened its first store in Myanmar recently at Yangon’s Junction City Mall.

The master franchise partner for Auntie Anne in Myanmar is Singapore-listed Yoma, a company with a diversified portfolio of businesses ranging from real estate to financial services.

Yoma CEO Melvyn Pun said in a press release that the Auntie Anne brand was brought into the country after an in-depth study was made of the dining preferences of consumers.

“As well as offering consumers an exciting new twist in the growing baked goods category, Auntie Anne’s also complements our existing food and beverage portfolio which includes 37 YKKO restaurants, 33 KFC stores and Little Sheep Hot Pot which will launch in the coming weeks,” he said.

Auntie Anne’s has a presence in Asia with outlets in Thailand, Philippines, Japan, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, China and South Korea. The brand owner is Atlanta-based Focus Brands.
