A brand new tech-driven, gastro-gaming experiece launching in Clarke Quai

14 Nov 2022 - Global technology-based concept developer The Social Gaming Group is set to launch its first-ever concept in Asia this coming November with Oche Riverside Point, a brand new lifestyle and F&B concept in the heart of Clarke Quay.

Opening on 9 November 2022, Oche (pronounced as “ock-key”) is Singapore’s first-ever gastro-gaming darts venue — a unique lifestyle and F&B concept that combines tech-driven gameplay, warm hospitality, and exceptional sharing plates paired with cocktails, beers and wines.

In darts terminology, an ‘oche’ is defined as the line which players must stand behind during gameplay. With a venue capacity of over 300 guests (200 indoors, and 140 on the outdoor patio) and 17 Oche booths that seat up to 150 at a time, Oche aims to encourage guests to play, interact and be in the moment, all while indulging in delightful food and drinks.

At its heart, Oche focuses on shared happiness, be it through a fun game of darts, over a shared meal, or drinks with friends on a night out. We hope to bring shared happiness to our guests and we are delighted to bring our proven Oche concept to Singapore.”

A UNIQUE GASTRO-GAMING EXPERIENCE

The experience at Oche is designed to be centred around socialising, with a philosophy of shared happiness — and what better way to do so than over exceptional food and drinks?

Oche offers two menus, one for indoors, and one for the outdoor patio. Guests can partake in a curated menu of sharing plates along with pizzas and bar bites crafted by Executive Development Chef Michael Lunga, who cut his teeth at the Lysebu Restaurant in Oslo, achieving the Global Luxury Hotel Restaurant’ award in 2015.

With Chef Michael’s fondness for fresh, fun flavours, the menu at Oche aims to offer dishes made to be eaten by hand without the grease or mess — think along the lines of the Spicy Salmon Cone ($15 for two) filled with fresh Norwegian salmon marinated with a tangy dressing of mango, habanero and lime, as well as the Oche Slider ($18 for two), featuring a tender patty made of prime ground beef and smoked bone marrow, aged and smoked cheddar, red onion marmalade and chipotle mayo — all sandwiched between house-made brioche buns. For larger appetites, there is also the Pulled Iberico Burger ($32), available on the Patio Menu, featuring braised Iberico pork neck paired with rich avocado cream, romaine lettuce and tangy pickled red onions between pillowy house-made black brioche buns.

TOP-NOTCH TIPPLES FOR THE THIRSTY

Guests thirsty after a game would be glad to know that the beverage menu at Oche is no less well thought out, having been crafted by Beverage Development Manager Adam MacDonald, who has won the Australian, European and World Bartending Championships.

Indulge in tipples like the Thin Red Line ($13), a fun twist on the classic milk punch, where a “milk-washed” whiskey sour using house-made whey and Bulleit bourbon is finished off with a float of red wine — served in a clear double old-fashioned glass, the drink is transparent with a thin crimson line of red wine floating perfectly on top of the drink from the first sip to last. Or go for the refreshing Orango Tango ($13), where Cocchi Americano, Dry Curaçao, Starlino Arancione and San Pellegrino Rossa is finished off with a splash of Prosecco for a boozy, grown-up orange soda.

In between savouring these bites and booze, guests are encouraged to play a game of high-tech darts as well — hence the term, “gastro-gaming”.

Featuring an in-house darts system that uses state-of-the art cameras and tracking technology along with real boards and darts, Oche offers a darts gameplay experience with a variety of game modes for both beginner players and pros alike. Guests will have the opportunity to choose from a darts session for 85 mins, starting at $15 per person during the day, to $20 per person at peak times from 5pm onwards.
